Videotron Player of the Week | Milo Roelens (February 5, 2024)
The latest Videotron Player of the Week in the QMJHL is center Milo Roelens of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. In three games, Roelens, who turned 21 on January 16, scored four times and added six assists as the Titan went 2-0-1-0 on the week.
On Tuesday night at home, the Titan engaged in a back-and-forth affair with its provincial rivals, the Moncton Wildcats. Though the Cats would emerge victorious in overtime by a score of 4-3, Roelens would be named the game’s first star, scoring once and adding an assist to go along with a +2 rating.
Back at home on Friday night, the fifth-year veteran would continue finding the back of the net, scoring twice and adding a pair of helpers in the Titan’s 5-3 triumph over the Saint John Sea Dogs. Beside recording a four-point night, Roelens, who was named third star for the contest, ended the evening with a +4 rating and an impressive 15-for-23 effort in the faceoff circle.
In Moncton on Saturday night, Roelens again impressed, posting another four-point night thanks to a goal and three helpers in a 7-4 Titan victory over the Wildcats. Named the first star for the second time in three contests, Roelens extended his latest point streak to five games, during which time he’s registered an impressive 13 points.
Acquired by the Titan from the Sherbrooke Phoenix in the off-season, Roelens currently sits second on the club with 54 points in 46 games. His 22 goals lead the team. Roelens was invited to NHL training camp with the Colorado Avalanche prior to the start of this season.
