Fan of the Week | Yonathan Chelly (Gatineau)
Yonathan suffers from what is called a “cleft palate”, which essentially corresponds to a crack in the roof of his mouth. The impact that it has on him is that he is unable to speak and eat like other kids his age can.
Despite all that, he remains a die-hard Olympiques fan and goes to most of the team’s home games. Treatments for an oral cleft formation are very expensive but, still, he always finds a way to make it to the games.
As a matter of fact, the Olympiques decided to honor him during Friday October 18th’s game by having him go through an unforgettable experience.
He was a privileged member of the team, called upon to drop the puck for the opening face-off of the Olympiques and Armada game. He then received his very own Olympiques jersey, signed by all of the current team members.
