The RDS mid-season rookie excellence awards revealed
BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, January 17, 2006 (QMJHL) The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today announced the names of the RDS mid-season rookie excellence award winners of every League team. The selection is made by the Head Coache of each franchise.
<i>"It is with great pleasure that RDS is associated with the major junior hockey circuit to honour our most promising youngsters,"</i> mentioned Michel Gagnon, the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. <i>"Long associated with the League, RDS would like to reaffirm its commitment by acknowledging these excellent rookies, both at the mid-point of the season as well as at the conclusion of the current campaign. It’s our way, at this network, to recognize the immense potential of hockey players who will no doubt showcase their talent at the NHL level in a few years."</i>
The winner of the RDS mid-season rookie excellence award of each team will receive a luxurious sports bag that will officially be handed-out during one of their teams’ home games. Futhermore, during the Golden Puck Awards Gala, the QMJHL’s rookie of the year will receive the RDS trophy as well as an education bursary of $1,000.
