Richard Martel dismissed
CHICOUTIMI, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 – The Chicoutmi Saguenéens organization today announced the dismissal of head coach and general manager Richard Martel.
Assistant coach Marc-Étienne Hubert and assistant general manager Carl Bouchard will be behind the bench for tonight’s game between the Océanic and the Saguenéens at the Georges-Vézina Centre.Martel is the all-time wins leader in QMJHL history with 589. He also coached in St-Hyacinthe, Val-d’Or and Baie-Comeau.
A press conference will be held tonight after the game.
