SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs announced the winners of the Advocate Printing “Paint the Town Blue” contest Tuesday, rewarding fans who decorated their homes and businesses in Sea Dogs blue.
After tallying the most “Liked” photos of homes and businesses posted to the team’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/sjseadogs), the team made the announcement on its official YouTube Channel, Sea Dogs TV.
Andrea Kane claimed first prize in the home category and will receive a 2012-13 season flex package, which includes 34 pre-paid ticket vouchers that can be redeemed for any game in any combination, along with all season-ticket holder benefits. Steve’s Renovations took first prize in the business category and will also receive a season flex pass.
Second prize, a 10-voucher flex package, went to Ernie Arsenault in the home category and Piece O’ Cake Custom Creations in the business category.
In third place, winning a $50 gift certificate for merchandise from the Sea Dog Styles store, are Sam White (home) and Key Industries (business).
“Our fans showed an overwhelming amount of support in decorating their homes and businesses in support of Saint John’s team,” said Sea Dogs President Wayne Long. “Our thanks go out to all the dedicated fans who back their team. We congratulate those who went the extra mile to win the Advocate Printing Paint the Town Blue contest through Facebook.”
Advocate, the official printer of the Sea Dogs, provided 2,000 free Sea Dogs posters to help fans get their displays started. Fans were challenged to go above and beyond by adding to the display and uploading a photo of their home or business to the team’s Facebook page.
