OHL – QMJHL Interlock Schedule Starts on Sunday

The four game interlock schedule between teams from the Ontario Hockey League and teams from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League begins on Sunday, December 8 when the OHL’s Ottawa 67's will host the Hull Olympiques from the QMJHL. Sunday’s game will be broadcast on nationally on Rogers Sportsnet and on RDS in the Province of Quebec. Broadcast time is 8:00 p.m. Eastern and the actual puck drop is 6:30 p.m. at the Ottawa Civic Centre.

Joining the 67's and the Olympiques in the group of teams that are participating in this season’s interlock schedule are the Belleville Bulls and the Victoriaville Tigres. The Olympiques will host the return match with Ottawa on December 15. The Bulls and Tigres will begin their home and home series in Belleville on January 8 and the Bulls will travel to Victoriaville on February 23. The January 8 game is part of the Canadian Hockey League on Rogers Sportsnet schedule and will also be broadcast on RDS.

This is the fourth season that the OHL and QMJHL have scheduled interlocking games between teams from their leagues. Of the 24 games that have been played in the previous three seasons, the OHL has won 13 while the QMJHL has 10 wins and one game was tied. The 67's have won four of the previous six meetings with Hull and one game was tied. Belleville and Victoriaville have split their four encounters.
