No suspension for Bernier
(LONGUEUIL, Monday April 26, 2004) – The Prefect of discipline of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Mr. Maurice Filion, announced today that there will be no suspension for Moncton Wildcats’ player, Steve Bernier.
Further to the game played in Moncton Thursday April 22, the Rimouski Oceanic had filed a complaint with the QMJHL Prefect of discipline regarding the cross-checking Bernier had served Sidney Crosby.
After having reviewed the videotape of the game, Mr. Filion declared that there would be no suspension imposed to the right winger of the Wildcats, Steve Bernier.
