Michaël Lambert named CHL player of the week
Longueuil – The Canadian Hockey League choose each week its player of the week among all the players of the week of its three Leagues.
The PEI Rocket left winger Michaël Lambert is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday October 19, 2003. Lambert scored 4 goals and added 5 assists for 9 points in 3 games.
Lambert get 3 assists in a 7-3 win over the Quebec Remparts on October 14. In a 6-0 win over the Val-d’Or Foreurs on October 17, he scored one goal and added 2 assists. Michaël concluded the week with a hat trick in a 6-3 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on October 18. Michaël Lambert, a 19-year-old native of Trois-Rivières, Quebec, leads the Rocket with 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 12 games.
The other players selected are Alex Leavitt of the Swift Current Broncos in the WHL, Adam Henrich of the Brampton Battalion in the OHL and Josh Tordjman of the Victoriaville Tigres, named defensive player of the week in the QMJHL.
