Lagacé excited to participate in Super Series
Maxime Lagacé was not expecting the news of being named to the 2011 Subway Super Series for Team QMJHL.
“I was very happy,” he said. “I was not waiting for that news Monday morning.”
Lagacé, along with Quebec Remparts goaltender Louis Domingue, will participate in the two-game series against Team Russia Monday Nov. 7 and Wednesday Nov. 9, in Victoriaville, Que. and Quebec City, Que. respectively.
He’s not thinking about it, he said.
“Sure I’m excited about it, but I don’t want to think about it. I just want to think about my game that we will play on next week and this week.”
Lagacé has posted a 3-10-1-1 record so far this year, along with a 4.21 goals-against-average and one shutout. He sits second overall in shots face by a goalie and saves.
