Shawn Costello, born on January 20, 2007, in Brampton, Ontario. Standing 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 192 pounds, Costello is known for his strong two-way play, combining size and skill to impact both ends of the ice. He began his junior career with the Mississauga Senators U16 AAA before advancing to the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with the Mississauga Chargers, where he played 39 games in the 2023-2024 season. Costello also spent time with the Oshawa Generals, appearing in several games over two seasons and contributing to the team’s depth.

In January 2025, Costello was acquired by the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for forward Ethan Martin. Since joining the Spitfires, Costello has contributed six assists in 15 games. His strong physical presence and two-way abilities have made him a key addition to Windsor’s lineup. With untapped potential, Costello is seen as a valuable asset to the Spitfires’ future success as he continues to develop his skills in the OHL.
