GAME 6: GENS VS WOLVES
The Oshawa Generals are in Sudbury tonight for Game 6 of their opening round series with the Wolves and with a 3-2 lead are looking to close out the series. After being down 2-1 in the series the Gens have come back to win two straight, thanks in part to some outstanding goaltending from their veteran Jeremy Brodeur and a balanced offensive attack on the other end. Oshawa will look to continue exploiting the Wolves lack of discipline and penalty trouble.
Jeremy Bordeur has been a pillar for the Generals this post season especially in the Gens last two games in which he saved 75 of 78 shots that came his way and is sporting a .931 save percentage to go along with a 2.40 goals against average. Whenever the Generals defence has slipped a little Brodeur has been there to get them out of trouble.
On the offensive side of the puck the Generals have had no problem scoring in the series tallying 17 goals through the first five games from 11 different players. Jack Studnicka leads the team with five goals and six points while Domenic Commisso leads the team in helpers with five. Three of the Generals five rookies have chipped in as Danil Antropov has a goal and an assist; Serron Noel scored the opening goal of the series for the Gens, and William Ennis has helped out with two assists. Coach Bob Jones will look for more team play from both his veterans and his younger players as they look to close out the series tonight.
