A LOOK AHEAD: Tough Match Ups Will Test the Generals
Friday, Oct. 16 – Erie Otters @ 7:35 pm
The Generals will host the league-leading Erie Otters this Friday during the OHL’s “Big Ticket” night sponsored by the Special Olympics. The OHL “Big Ticket” night is a league wide endeavor, facilitated in conjunction with Special Olympics and the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (OLETR). Funds will be raised throughout the game in benefit of the OLETR and the Special Olympics. As well the Buffalo Wild Wing’s Charity Dinner night tickets will be on sale during the game for $10 at Guest Services. The event will take place on Monday, November 23rd at 903 Taunton Rd East in Oshawa.
The General’s got back on the right track last weekend after ending a three-game losing streak and defeating the Guelph Storm on home ice by a 2-0 score. Stephen Desrocher’s first-period goal and Kenny Huether’s empty netter were all the Generals needed as Jeremy Brodeur was perfect recording his league-leading fourth shutout of the season in just his seventh start.
The Erie Otters enter the weekend as the only remaining undefeated team in the OHL. Alex DiBrincat leads the Otters and the OHL with ten goals and 13 points in just his first five games. A year after leading the OHL with 129 points, the 2015 NHL third overall pick, Dylan Strome returns to the Erie Otters.
Come out and support the Special Olympics and the Generals as they take on the league’s best, Friday at 7:35 pm.
