Colton Heffley opened the scoring with his 4th of the season, scoring an unassisted marker in the first period. Seattle tied the game early in the second on a goal by Burke Gallimore.
“We got the single point, thanks to Adam Brown, but we have to have a hate on for every team that we play at this time of the year and tonight we didn’t have that,” said Rockets head coach Ryan Huska on the AM 1150 post game show.
A scoreless third and overtime followed before Seattle shooter Colin Jacobs scored the only goal of the shootout
The Rockets and Seattle will play the back half of a home and home series on Sunday in Seattle in a 5:05 start. It’s the first of three straight on the road for the Rocktes as next weekend they will play a pair of games in Prince George. Kelowna returns home Feb. 8 to play Seattle.
