Rockets Down Giants 3-1 in Vancouver
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 3-1 Friday night at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver.
Geordie Wudrick scored twice, his team leading 41st and 42nd goals of the season, and rookie Zach Franko scored his 21st goal for the Rockets. Colton Sissons had two assists in his return to the lineup after missing three games. Affiliate player Madison Bowey drew into the lineup and had an assist.
The Giants snapped Adam Brown’s shutout bid with just 35 seconds to play in the game with a power play goal by Neil Manning. It was Brown’s 35th win of the season.
The Rockets and Giants will now head to Kelowna to play the back half of the home and home series at Prospera Place on Saturday night. It will be the final game of the WHL regular season for Kelowna while Vancouver will be back in action on Sunday
