r The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Chilliwack Bruins 6-4 Friday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, winning its second straight Western Hockey League game.

r Kyle St. Denis scored a hat trick while Shane McColgan scored his first WHL marker and added two helpers. Linemate Brett Bulmer added two assists as the dangerous line swept the three star selection.

r The Rockets trailed 3-2 after the first period but scored twice in the second to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Mitchell Callahan converted on a goal-mouth scramble before St. Denis one-timed a centering pass into the net for a power play marker to give Kelowna a 4-3 lead after two.

r The first period saw the teams go back and forth with each team holding the lead.

r The Rockets opened the scoring just 22 seconds into the game on St. Denis' first of the night and season, banging home a rebound on a goal that was confirmed on video replay.

r Lucas Bloodoff showed some nice footwork, kicking the puck to his stick and giving Kelowna a 2-1 lead at 7:56 of the first before two straight from Chilliwack sent the Bruins to the dressing room with a 3-2 lead. Dylen McKinlay scored twice while Ryan Howse and Zach Habscheid also scored for Chilliwack.

r Adam Brown earned the win in Kelowna's net making 21 stops.
