Rockets Beat Giants 5-1 in Vancouver

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 5-1 on Friday night in Vancouver, winning its second straight game of the weekend and first in a home and home series against the Giants
Jackson Whistle was excellent in net for the Rockets, stopping 31 of 32 shots against his former team.
“Jackson was real solid for us. They always play hard in this building,” said Rockets assistant coach Dan Lambert on the AM 1150 post game show. “I thought we did a good job of shutting them down in the third period and were able to play our four lines.”
Rockets captain Colton Sissons, with a pair, along with Tyson Baillie, Tyrell Goulbourne and JT Barnett scored for the Rockets.
Sissons and Baillie now both have 20 goals on the season, giving Kelowna five players with 20 goals or more on the season.
“These guys have really come together and play a real solid team game,” said Lambert of the Rockets players. “Everyone is playing the way we want them to.”
The Rockets improved to 39-10-3-1 on the season, second overall in the WHL and first in the BC Division.
Kelowna is back in action on Saturday night at Prospera Place where the team has won 22 straight games, a tie for the 3rd longest streak in WHL history.
