Rockets Back on Winning Track with 6-3 Win in Swift
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Swift Current Broncos 6-3 Tuesday night in Swift Current, moving to 2-and-1 on its six game road trip and remaining in first place in the WHL.
Tyson Baillie netted a hat trick to lead the Rockets offense as Kelowna improved to 24-7-1-0 on the season.
Baillie now has 21 goals on the season and sits in first place in the WHL scoring race with 54 points in 32 games.
Kole Lind had a goal and an assist for Kelowna who also got goals from Riley Stadel, his first of the season, and Tanner Wishnowski on the night. Dillon Dube chipped in with two helpers.
Michael Herringer earned the win in net as the Broncos outshot Kelowna 30-25 in the game.
Kelowna will continue its road trip Wednesday in Moose Jaw before playing Friday in Prince Albert and Saturday in Saskatoon to end its pre-Christmas schedule.
The Rockets return to Prospera Place on Dec. 28 when they host the Kamloops Blazers.
