Rockets Back in Win Column: 4-1 Over Tri-City

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Tri-City Americans 4-1 on Saturday night in Kennewick, WA, winning its sixth straight game on the road.
The win improved the Rockets record to 17-3-0-2 on the season.
Rockets captain Madison Bowey scored twice to lead the Rockets attack while 16-year-old rookie Nick Merkley kept up a more than point-per-game pace with two helpers.
Rourke Chartier opened the scoring for the Rockets and Bowey’s first of the game gave Kelown a 2-0 lead through two periods. After the Americans trimmed the lead to 3-1 in the third, Cole Linaker scored into an empty net with six minutes to play and Tri-City on the power play.
Jordon Cooke was solid in net for the Rockets, stopping 17 of 18 shots. The Rockets outshot the Americans 45-18 in the game.
After a week that saw the Rockets go back and forth to the US Division twice, Kelowna now returns home to prepare for a home and home set with the Kamloops Blazers next weekend.
The Rockets play in Kamloops on Friday before the return date Saturday Nov. 30 at Prospera Place.
