Rockets 28-3-0-2 at Christmas Break: Blast Blades 7-1

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Saskatoon Blades 7-1 Tuesday night in Saskatoon, closing out its six game Western Hockey League road trip with a perfect 6-0-0-0 record, extending its winning streak to 12 games and setting a Rockets’ franchise record in the process.
Carter Rigby scored twice as the Rockets beat Saskatoon 7-1, the team’s 13th straight victory on the road, setting a Rockets record and moving into sole possession of the second longest road winning streak in WHL history.
The win improved the Rockets record to 28-3-0-1 on the season, first overall in the WHL, as the team breaks for Christmas after an incredible start to the season.
Kelowna has not only won 12 straight, but have won 21 of its past 22 games. The first half featured a nine game winning streak and the current 12 game streak.
On Tuesday in Saskatoon, the Rockets scored four times in the first period en route to the win.
Tyson Baillie scored his 15th of the season while Rourke Chartier, Zach Franko, Mitch Wheaton, and Myles Bell, with his team-leading 17th, also scored.
Jackson Whistle earned the win in net, improving his record to 8-2-0-0 on the season.
The Rockets are now off for the WHL Christmas break and will return to action on Dec. 27 in Kelowna when they host the Kamloops Blazers.
