Bulmer suspended among rash of WHL dicipline

Kelowna Rockets forward Brett Bulmer was suspended by the Western Hockey League for an undetermined number of games, as the WHL handed down a series of suspensions after an intense first weekend of the playoffs.
Bulmer will miss Tuesday night’s game three between the Rockets and Portland Winterhawks and may miss more. There was no immediate word when a final decision would be made.
Winterhawks forward Oliver Gabriel was also suspended for one game after he was ejected early from game two in Portland after being assessed a slashing minor.
In all, the WHL handed out seven suspensions on Monday.
Kamloops player Austin Madaisky was suspended two games, Everett forwards Manraj Hayer and Ryan Harrison and Moose Jaw’s Cody Beach were also suspended, for different reasons.
The league also handed out supplemental discipline to the Silvertips, under the WHL’s social media policy.
The playoffs continue this week. Kelowna hosts Portland on Tuesday and Thursday in Kelowna.
