Barrie May Make NHL Debut Against Vancouver
Former Kelowna Rockets defenceman Tyson Barrie will make his NHL debut with the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday when the Avs play the Chicago Blackhawks.
Barrie was recalled by the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche from Lake Erie in the AHL on the weekend.
The 20-year-old Victoria native was named the AHL all star game this year and is also leading the Lake Erie Monsters in scoring this season, his first year in the AHL.
In 46 games as an AHL rookie Barrie had five goals 24 assists for 29 points.
