Rockets fall to Thunderbirds in overtime
The Kelowna Rockets were defeated by the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2 in overtime Wednesday night at Prospera Place.
Mark Liwiski (5) put the Rockets up 1-0, 8:03 into the game. Matthew Wedman (22) tied the game with 54 seconds left in the opening frame. The two entered the intermission tied.

Kyle Crosbie (6) ripped a shot past Thunderbird goaltender, Roddy Ross at 15:02 while on the penalty kill. Tyrel Bauer (2) tied the game up once again when he beat Rockets starter, Roman Basran with 45 seconds remaining in the period.

The Rockets and Thunderbirds went back and forth during the third period but neither could score, forcing overtime.
Henrik Rybinski (2) lifted the Thunderbirds to victory 2:38 into overtime.
The Rockets record is now 20-24-4-1.
Basran turned aside 35 of the 38 shots he faced, his record moves to 14-14-2-0. The Thunderbirds outshot the Rockets 38-28.
