The Kelowna Rockets will put their five-game point streak on the line on Friday night when they head to Prince George to face the Cougars at the CN Centre. Kelowna wrapped up a five-game homestand that saw the team go 4-0-0-1, picking up nine of a possible ten points.
The Rockets snapped the Kamloops Blazers seven-game win streak on Wednesday night, shutting them down 3-2 at Prospera Place. Talyn Boyko made 27 saves in his debut, while Mark Liwiski, Colton Dach and Nolan Flamand each found the back of the net for Kelowna. Flamand earned first star honours, posting an assist to go along with his game-winning goal.
The Cougars had a busy midweek, hosting the Vancouver Giants for a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Cougars opened the matchup with a 1-0 win, but fell 5-3 to the Giants the next night.

The Cougar and Rockets didn’t have to wait long for the rematch, the two just met last Saturday at Prospera Place. Kelowna took the series opener 4-1, Jake lee scored a pair of goals, Gabriel Szturc and Tyson Feist also found the back of the net for the Rockets.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Kelowna:
- For the first time, seventeen-year-old Scott Cousins will get the chance to play in front of his family in his hometown this weekend. The forward has appeared in three games this season, posting two shots on net.
- Chicago Blackhawks prospect Colton Dach is riding a six-game point streak that has seen him post two goals and four assists over that span.
Prince George:
- Selected second-overall by the Cougars in the 2020 WHL Draft, forward Riley Heidt leads the Cougs in scoring with 13 points (4G, 8A) in 13 games.
- Goaltender Tyler Brennan has appeared in eight games this season, he’s posted a record of 4-4-0-0, 2.71 GAA and .916 SAV%.
