DEC. 10 INTRASQUAD GAME – RED 4, WHITE 0
Team White skated to a 4-0 shutout led by a goal and an assist from Justin Barron (Halifax Mooseheads) in Thursday night’s Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp instrasquad action.
Connor McMichael (London Knights) found the back of the net while Donovan Sebrango (Kitchener Rangers), Graeme Clarke (Ottawa 67’s), Cole Perfetti (Saginaw Spirit) and Thomas Harley (Mississauga Steelheads) were all on the scoresheet with an assist each.
“What we like about Graemer is he arrived with no complex,” said head coach Andre Tourigny of Clarke’s performance following the game. “There were a lot of first round picks up front and he was not one of those when he arrived here and he really battled and didn’t give an inch to those guys. He really earned his way in this camp. We’ll see what’s ahead but really proud of him and the way he fought.”
Peyton Krebs (Winnipeg Ice) and Dylan Holloway also chipped in with goals.
Devon Levi recorded a perfect 36 saves in the shutout.
Seven players were cut from the roster on Thursday morning including a pair of goaltenders in Brett Brochu (London Knights) and Tristan Lennox (Saginaw Spirit) as well as forwards Tyson Foerster (Barrie Colts), Cole Schwindt (Mississauga Steelheads) and 16-year-old Shane Wright (Kingston Frontenacs). Also released were Adam Beckman (Spokane Chiefs) and Hendrix Lapierre (Chicoutimi Saguenéens).

DEC. 9 INTRASQUAD GAME – WHITE 6, RED 4
Ryan Suzuki (Saginaw Spirit) and Connor McMichael (London Knights) led the way for Team White, both posting two points as Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp returned to intrasquad action on the other side of a 14-day quarantine.
Suzuki potted a goal and an assist while McMichael chipped in with a pair of helpers. McMichael played on a line with Chicago Blackhawks forward Kirby Dach (Saskatoon Blades), who headlined the night with two goals and two assists.
“The line of McMichael, (Dylan) Cozens and Dach had a really good night, especially on the power play, they were really productive there,” said head coach Andre Tourigny after the session. “They make it tough on us to break them up right now so we’re going to keep going with that. We envision them being a really good line moving forward.”
Cole Perfetti (Saginaw Spirit) was solid in defeat, recording two assists for his side.
Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp shifted from its pre-quarantine status as a “protective environment” to a “fully secured bubble format.” No media were in attendance for Wednesday night’s scrimmage and the game was not streamed online. No referees, linesmen or timekeepers were inside the facility.
A total of five players were deemed unfit to play and released from camp on Tuesday including Saginaw Spirit defenceman Mason Millman. Joining him were Xavier Simoneau (Drummondville Voltigeurs), Ridly Greig (Brandon Wheat Kings), Daemon Hunt (Moose Jaw Warriors) and Matthew Robertson (Edmonton Oil Kings).
