Barber Poles Seek Third Straight Win Against Sudbury
After opening their 2022 schedule with a win last night, the Ottawa 67’s look to make it three in a row, today, with the Sudbury Wolves coming to town for a 2:00pm EST puck drop. Barber Poles fans can catch all the action on Rogers TV, and Kenny Walls has the radio call on TSN 1200.
Despite still missing an array of regular skaters, Ottawa earned a 4-2 victory over the Peterborough Petes, last night. Brady Stonehouse scored twice for the second straight game, with Vinzenz Rohrer tallying the eventual game-winner, and Vsevolod Gaidamak notching the insurance marker. Will Cranley was lights-out for his team, stopping 21 of 23 Petes chances.
The Wolves also doubled up their opponents, Friday evening, rolling to an 8-4 road win over the Kingston Frontenacs. David Goyette did it all for his squad, scoring four goals, while Quentin Musty added two of his own, with Marc Boudreau and Nick DeGrazia finding the others. Goaltender Mitchell Weeks turned aside 44 of the 48 shots he faced. This will be Sudbury’s third game in as many days, having knocked off Peterborough themselves, Thursday, by a score of 3-1.
