67’s host North Bay for Family Day Festivities
After a comeback bid fell short on Friday night, the Ottawa 67’s get another crack at the North Bay Battalion, today on home ice.
It’s Family Day, and that means it’s a 2:00pm puck drop inside The Arena at TD Place, as the Barber Poles take on the Troops. Fans not in attendance can stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls on the call for TSN 1200.
It was another two-goal effort for Luca Pinelli on Saturday, when the 67’s picked up a 4-3 win over the Barrie Colts. Brad Gardiner, and Kimi Körbler had the other tallies, in a game where Ottawa had 51 shots on goal.
The Battalion lost a hard-fought contest at home, last night, falling 5-3 to the Saginaw Spirit. Justin Ertel, Owen Van Steensel, and Brice Cooke hit the twine as the home side attempted rally from a 4-0 deficit, thanks to an extended penalty kill.
North Bay earned a 3-2 win over Ottawa on Friday, despite the 67’s outshooting them 34-22 Sandis Vilmanis, Van Steensel, and Liam Arnsby gave them a 3-0 lead before Braeden Kressler, and Will Gerrior made it a one-goal game.
