Barber Poles aim to bounce back against Niagara
It’s a quick turnaround for the Ottawa 67’s, after a hard-fought 3-2 overtime road loss to the Barrie Colts last night.
Less than 24 hours later, the Barber Poles are hoping to get back in the win column, with a visit to the Niagara IceDogs. Puck drop is slated for 7:00pm, and fans can stream live on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls call the action on TSN 1200.
Jack Beck notched a pair of assists, in his return to the lineup, but goals from Chris Barlas, and Caden Kelly weren’t enough to overcome the Colts on Thursday. Collin MacKenzie turned in another stellar effort, with 29 saves in goal.
Niagara was last in game action on New Year’s Eve, picking a 5-3 win over the Otters, in Erie. Anthony Agostinelli scored a natural hat trick, along with markers from Andrew LeBlanc, and Daniel Michaud. Josh Rosenzweig was in goal, and made 29 saves in the victory.
The 67’s and IceDogs have only met once on the season, thus far, with Ottawa cruising to a 7-2 win at home on November 12, 2022. Cooper Foster scored a pair, Brady Stonehouse tallied a spectacular Michigan goal, with Kelly, Brad Gardiner, Anthony Costantini, and Luca Pinelli also getting in on the fun, in a 23-save win for Max Donoso.
