Alberta Bound: The Wheat Kings will open the 2021/22 WHL Playoffs next Friday night in Red Deer, AB. It’s the first playoff meeting between these two clubs since April of 2016. Brandon took the series in five games en route to the Ed Chynoweth Cup.
Wrap it Up: Ethan Kruger, Chad Nychuk and Marcus Kallionkieli will suit up for their final WHL regular-season game tonight. This trio has appeared in 376 games for the BWK, with Nychuk leading the way with 205.
McQueen is Back: The Wheat Kings recalled 15-year-old forward Roger McQueen on Friday. The 4th overall pick in the 2021 WHL Draft is coming off a Rookie of the Year award-winning season with the Saskatoon Blazers. The Saskatoon, SK native has picked up one assist in his only WHL call-up so far.
