Tonight’s Matchup: The Brandon Wheat Kings continue a four-game homestand tonight when the Moose Jaw Warriors come to town. It’s the first of two meetings with the Warriors this week and a potential first-round playoff matchup. The Wheat Kings enter play tonight four points back of the 5th place Warriors in the WHL’s Eastern Conference.
Last Time Out: 6-3 W vs Medicine Hat: Nolan Ritchie (4A) and Jake Chiasson (2G-2A) each had four-point nights as the Wheat Kings trounced the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-3 last night. Ritch is Rolling: The reigning Telus BWK Player of the Month, Nolan Ritchie enters play tonight on a four-game point streak (2G-7A). In his last seven games, Ritchie has scored four times and added eleven assists for 15 points.
Officer Wardo: For the first time in his career, Mason Ward scored twice in a game. The Lloydminster, AB product has three goals in his last two games and has points in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Shake and Bake: Edmonton Oilers prospect Jake Chiasson has exploded offensively this week. Three goals and three assists in two games have helped the BWK become winners of four straight. Chiasson’s four-point night on Friday was the first of his career.
