“Get To Know” Series – Introducing Jerrett Ross
Jerrett Ross was selected in the fourth round and 79th overall pick by the Victoria Royals in the 2022 WHL Prospect Draft. The 15-year-old defenceman from Leduc, AB, posted 15 points on 3 goals and 12 assists playing for the Leduc Oil Kings U15 AAA team.
Ross is on the Island for the 2022 Victoria Royals Rookie Camp presented by Coast Hotel Victoria & Marina by APA. Our content team caught up with him for our “Get to Know” Series where we profile prospects and players.
When did you first start playing hockey?
I started when I was four.
What number do you wear, and does it have any meaning to you?
Number four! It’s typically a d-man’s number. I just like it.
Who is your favourite athlete and why?
Probably Giannis Antetokounmpo, the basketball player. I like him a lot.
Who is your hero and your biggest inspiration? Explain why
I’d say my dad. He taught me how to play hockey.
What is your favourite thing about Victoria so far?
I love the hockey.
What is your favourite meal?
Steak and potatoes.
What is your go to pump up song right now?
I don’t really have one.
Name three places you want to visit outside of Canada
I haven’t traveled that much or left Canada.
What is your favourite movie of all-time?
Harry Potter.
Dogs or Cats?
Dogs
Do you have any pets? If yes, what?
I have two dogs. One is a French Bulldog and Boston Terrier mix. The other is a German Shepherd.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m fast.
What motivates you to work hard?
I want to play hockey at a high level

Jer Bear or Jerry
What do you enjoy doing outside of hockey?
Snowboarding and basketball.
