Rebels vs. Everett Silvertips rescheduled for Thursday
The Red Deer Rebels fell victim to severe weather conditions early Wednesday.
Due to mountain passes being closed due to heavy snow, the team had to reroute to Portland following Tuesday’s WHL game in Spokane in order to get to Everett for a scheduled game with the Silvertips Wednesday evening.
However, the Rebels only got as far as Hood River, Ore., where they were stuck due to a road closure. Hood River is roughly 100 km east of Portland.
As a result, Wednesday’s game was rescheduled for Thursday.
Red Deer will also play Friday in Seattle and Sunday in Portland before taking a two-day break prior to their final game of the US Division trip, next Tuesday versus the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, Wash.
