Two Raiders Identified by NHL Central Scouting
Prince Albert SK – The National Hockey League Central Scouting Bureau has released its Preliminary Rankings of draft eligible players for the 2012 Entry Draft, with 2 Raiders identified on the Western Hockey League list.
Centre Mike Winther is ranked 9th among all WHL skaters and goaltender Cole Holowenko is 6th among the WHL netminders eligible for the NHL Draft in June, 2012 in Pittsburgh.
Winther, currently in his second season with the Raiders, has scored 7 goals and added 7 assists in 23 games, 4 more points than he had in 61 games as a rookie last season.
Holowenko has appeared in 10 games this season, his first with the Raiders, posting a .890 Save Percentage and 4.08 Goals Against Average.
Winther, Holowenko and the Raiders are on the road this weekend, visiting Edmonton Friday and Calgary Saturday. They return to the Art Hauser Centre to begin a season-long 7 game home stand, starting with the Medicine Hat Tigers on November 23rd.
