Raiders Team Up with Boston Pizza on Valentines Day to Deliver for Heart and Stroke Foundation
Prince Albert Raiders are teaming up with Boston Pizza to deliver lifesaving funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
“This Thursday evening, Valentine’s Day, when you order for delivery from Boston Pizza, it just might be a Prince Albert Raider player who shows up on your doorstep with your pizza,” says Tamara Bloor of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Raiders will be on call between 6 and 9, and if you’re order is ready to go when a player is on hand, you just might see a Raider at your door. Raider players taking part include Evan Morden, Riley Guenther, Chance Braid, Luke Siemens and Harrison Ruopp.
Boston Pizza will be donating their normal delivery charge, and Raiders’ players will donate any tips they receive, to the Foundation. This is part of month-long activities in Prince Albert that also include the Foundation’s Person-to-person Campaign.
“The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to partner with the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Boston Pizza for this special night,” says Bruce Vance, Business Manager and Marketing Director for the team. “Our players are excited to be part of the night and encourage our fans to order delivery and see if one of our players shows up at your door!”
“Heart disease and stroke are a huge health issue here in our community and across the country,” notes Bloor. “Every seven minutes, a Canadian dies from this disease. Here in Saskatchewan, 9 out of 10 people have at least one of the major risk factors. Every dollar that BP and the Raiders raise through this great promo is important because it helps fund research and education aimed at giving longer, healthier lives to us all.”
The Heart and Stroke Foundation urges Canadians to take charge of their future health. The first step is an online heart health assessment, found at www.makedeathwait.ca or www.heartandstroke.ca
