Raiders Defeat Rebels
Prince Albert SK– It was a night of firsts at the Art Hauser Centre as the Raiders picked up their first win of the season with a 7-2 victory over the Red Deer Rebels. 16-year-old defenceman Josh Morrisey notched his first career Western Hockey League goal, and Shane Danyluk potted his first and second goals of the season, one of which was also the Raiders’ first shorthanded goal of the 2011-2012 campaign. Import Jonas Knutsen also notched his first career WHL goal in the third period. James Bettauer and Mark McNeill had strong nights with 1 goal and 2 assists each. Rookie goaltender Cole Holowenko stopped 29 of 31 shots to post his first career WHL victory.
