Raiders Acquire Conroy From Royals
Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders have acquired 18-year-old forward Dakota Conroy from the Victoria Royals in exchange for a 7th round draft pick in the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Conroy, an Edmonton, Alberta product appeared in 67 WHL games last year, splitting the season in Brandon and Victoria. The 6’1”, 190-pound right-winger finished the year with 11 goals and 7 assists for 18 points and 33 penalty minutes. A third round selection by the Wheat Kings in 2009, Conroy recorded 1 assist in 4 pre-season games this year.
“We are pleased to have Dakota join our club,” said Raiders General Manager Bruno Campese. “He adds size and depth to our current forward group and we look forward to his arrival.”
