Oil Kings Slip Past Raiders 4-3 in OT
The Raiders could not cling to a two-goal lead in the third period, falling to the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday night at the Art Hauser Centre.
Mike Winther opened the scoring early in the second period and the home side held the slim margin until Oil Kings forward Mitch Moroz evened the slate to start the third.
Leon Draisaitl and Davis Vandane responded less than 2 minutes apart to put the Raiders up 3-1, but the lead would not last as Stephan Legault and Michael St. Croix both replied for Edmonton.
In the extra frame, David Musil got the Oil Kings the bonus point, and Edmonton’s first win over Prince Albert this season.
Riley Guenther was named the Dickies Hardest Working Raider, playing his strongest game of the season in a losing cause.
