Game Preview: Game 31 vs Calgary
ROAD TRIP RECAP:
Prince Albert finished their last road trip of the first half of the 2023-24 regular season with a 5-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The team finished the weekend with a 2-1-0-0 record. The Raiders began the road trip with a 4-3 shootout win in Swift Current. Sloan Stanick tied that game with 25 seconds left before ripping home the shootout winner. On Saturday night the green and gold fell 6-2 in Medicine Hat. The team now sits with a 15-13-0-2 record, which has put them in the middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference.
PLAYER OF THE MONTH:
Sloan Stanick will be recognized as the Raiders’ player of the month prior to puck drop tonight. The overage forward put up 17 points in the month of November (4G, 13A). That was eight more points than the next closest Raider. The winger has 16 points over his last 12 games, and leads the Raiders in scoring with 35 points in 30 games this season (10G, 25A).
BACK TO BACK MATCHUP:
The Raiders will be taking on the Hitmen for the second straight game, this time switching the scenery to the Art Hauser Centre. Prince Albert is 2-0-0-0 against Calgary this season, with their 5-2 win on Sunday, as well as a 7-2 win on home ice back on October 13. Three Raiders (Aiden Oiring, Hayden Pakkala, Ryder Ritchie) are tied for the team lead in scoring against the Hitmen, as the three forwards each have four points. Max Hildebrand has started both games against Calgary this season, putting together a 2.00 GAA and a .949 SV%.
