Fix-Wolansky lifts Oil Kings to 6-5 OT Win
The Edmonton Oil Kings and Lethbridge Hurricanes always play spirited high-scoring affairs and Friday night at the Enmax Centre certainly was no different.
The Oil Kings jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead but ran into some penalty trouble and before they knew it the explosive Lethbridge offense kicked it into gear and were up 5-3. But there was no quit in the young Edmonton squad as they continued to battle and tie it 5-5.
Overtime was needed and Trey Fix-Wolansky was the hero scoring exactly one minute in lifting his team to the well-deserved 6-5 win.
