Tri-City Herald: Time at home well spent for Ams

KENNEWICK — After playing nearly all of October on the road, the Tri-City Americans were able to get in a full week of practice before playing host to the Red Deer Rebels tonight.
The Americans went back to the basics this week with puck-handling drills, working on the power play and fine-tuning their offense.
“We had a really good practice on Monday,” Tri-City coach Jim Hiller said. “We did some basic stuff and a lot of skating, but I think we needed that. We’ve been able to pinpoint some things as the week has gone along. By the end of the week, the guys should be excited to get on the ice for a game.”
The Americans (11-4-1-1, 24 points) will be near full strength tonight against the Rebels (11-6-0-0, 22 points), who lost to Portland 4-3 in overtime Friday night.
