The Sarnia Sting were a testament to that on Thursday as goals from Pavel Zacha, Jeff King and Stephen Pierog led the Western Conference’s seventh seeded club to a 3-2 road win over the Midwest Division Champion Erie Otters. Watch #ERvsSAR
Overage goaltender Taylor Dupuis made 32 saves in goal for Sarnia and big blueliner Joshua Chapman earned third star honours as Sarnia held Connor McDavid and Dylan Strome to one assist each in Game 1.

If you like goals, you liked this one. Dante Salituro’s five point night led the Ottawa 67’s to an 8-5 win over the visiting Niagara IceDogs in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series. Salituro’s two goals and three assists were joined by Jeremiah Addison’s two goals and two helpers as the 67’s held off the IceDogs who got four goals from blueliner Vince Dunn. Watch #OTTvsNIAG
The Belleville Bulls fought hard to the finish, but couldn’t overcome a late deficit as the Barrie Colts took Game 1 by a score of 3-2. Garrett Hooey had a goal and an assist against his old club while Ben Harpur earned first star honours with a goal and an assist for the Colts. Goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood made 37 saves in goal for Barrie. Belleville goals came from Jordan Subban and Stephen Harper. Watch #BARvsBELV
