Attack’s Palmu wins WU18 Silver with Finland

Owen Sound Attack forward Petrus Palmu has won Silver with Team Finland at the 2015 World Under-18 Hockey Championships in Switzerland.

The 17 year-old native of Joensuu, Finland finished the tournament with a goal and two assists in seven contests after Finland lost in overtime of the Gold Medal Game to the United States by a score of 2-1 on Sunday.

Palmu’s tenacious play and strong presence off the cycle in the offensive zone was evident for Finland throughout the tournament.

The 5’6″, 172Ib winger had 22 goals, 20 assists and 42 points in his rookie season in Owen Sound.
