Wednesday Highlights: Henderson the hero as Troops keep marching

Luke Burghardt found Jake Henderson (10) in the slot 31 seconds into overtime as the North Bay Battalion edged the visiting Sudbury Wolves 3-2, taking their third win in the past four games. The victory boosts the Battalion into sole possession of fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 27-22-7-2 record. North Bay overcome a 2-0 deficit in the first period as Sudbury climbed ahead on goals by Macauley Carson (9) and Nolan Hutcheson (5). Justin Brazeau (36) scored 35 seconds into the second period before Luke Moncada (8) knocked in a rebound 2:07 into the third to tie things up at two. Sudbury’s Jake McGrath earned second star honours with 35 saves while Battalion netminder Christian Propp made 23 saves for the win. Sudbury suffers a fifth straight loss, falling to 14-36-7-0. The Battalion have 10 games left on their regular season schedule with just three of those on home ice. The Wolves have just begun string of seven straight road games.
