Nurse, Jackson and McCourt Commit to Bulldogs
HAMILTON, ONTARIO – Hamilton Bulldogs President and General Manager Steve Staios announced today that the club has signed forwards Isaac Nurse, Zachary Jackson and defenceman Riley McCourt to an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Nurse, 17, was selected in the 11th round (208th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound forward spent last season with the Brantford Jr. B 99ers. In 49 games, the Hamilton, Ont native recorded 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists).
Jackson, 17, was selected in the 4th round (76th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The 6-foot-3, 189-pound forward split last season between the Ancaster Avalanche (GOJHL) and Upper Canada College. In 14 games with the Avalanche, Jackson recorded 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists). In 24 games with Upper Canada College he recorded 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists).
McCourt, 16, was selected in the 3rd round (45th overall) in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defenceman spent last season with the Niagara North Stars Minor Midget AAA team. In 33 games with the North Stars, McCourt recorded 20 points (9 goals, 11 assists). McCourt also spent time with Ridley College and the St. Catharines Falcons (GOJHL).
