Raine Returns

The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that 20-year-old defenceman KEVIN RAINE has been returned to the OHL by the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs.   The Dryden, Ontario native enjoyed an outstanding NHL camp however Leaf management opted to return the big, physical 6’2”, 210 lb defenceman to the Wolves for his final season of OHL hockey.

“Kevin is excited about our team and recognizes the opportunity to be a leader for us this season” notes Smith.   “Kevin was more of a depth defenceman with the defensive corps in London last season, but with our club, he now has the ability to be a top-pairing defenceman and log a lot of minutes.   Our team is a lot better with Kevin’s return to our line-up.”

Raine completes the return of all six Wolves’ players that were attending NHL camps during the past two weeks.  Nick Baptiste, Mathew Campagna, Franky Palazzese, Dominik Kubalik have all returned to Sudbury.   Newly acquired forward Connor Crisp is expected to arrive in Sudbury tomorrow after being returned to the OHL by the Montreal Canadiens on Monday.
