Daniel Muzito – Bagenda commits to Steelheads
Mississauga, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to announce the commitment of the team’s 2nd round selection from the 2015 CHL Import Draft, Daniel Muzito – Bagenda.
A native of Umea, Sweden, Muzito – Bagenda joins the Steelheads after being a member of MODO’s U20 team last season, recording 35 points in 37 games. Muzito – Bagenda also appeared in three games in the Swedish Hockey League for MODO. The 6’1 198 lb forward has represented the Swedish Federation at both the 2013 World Under – 17 Challenge, winning a gold medal, and at the 2014 IIHF World Under – 18 Hockey Championships.
Steelheads Head Coach and General Manager, James Boyd is pleased with the addition of Muzito – Bagenda, adding “Daniel is a big body forward with a nose for the net. He has an impressive international resume while playing for his home country of Sweden which will allow him to adjust quickly to the OHL.”
The Steelheads would like to welcome Daniel and the Muzito – Bagenda family to the organization. He will join all participating players at the 2015 Steelheads Training Camp in Mississauga on August 31st
