#34 makes 34 saves in Petes 2-1 win in the Soo

#34 Trevor Cann made 34 saves for his 8th Ontario Hockey League win in his rookie season with the Petes, as the Petes beat the Soo Grey Hounds 2-1 tonight. With the win, the Petes remain one point up on the London Knights and barrie Colts for first in the OHL. The Petes however have a game in hand on the Knights, and four on the Colts.

After a scoreless first period, Brandon MacLean opened the scoring for the home-town Hounds 4:34 into the second period. Jordan Staal scored his 13th of the season at 8:16 of the second to send the two teams to the dressing room knotted at one.

Kyle Raftis scored his 4th of the season, and the lone goal of the third period just 1:09 into the final frame to give the visiting Petes a 2-1 lead. Trevor Cann and Matt Hache would then shut the door, and the Petes would hold on to beat the Hounds 2-1.
