Firebirds Take Home All Three OHL Honors After Last Night’s 5-3 Win
Flint, Mich. – The Flint Firebirds skated away to their first win of the season last night, and in doing so took home all three OHL Honors to cap off the night.
First up, they earned the OHL’s Play of the Night when Amadeus Lombardi (Detroit Red Wings) skated through the offensive zone and found his fellow Red Wings camp invitee Riley Piercey who pulled it to the backhand and roofed it upstairs to take a 3-2 lead.

In addition to the first win of the season, Firebirds netminder Will Cranley (St. Louis Blues) picked up his first win in a Flint uniform. After stopping 37 of 40 shots, he was named the OHL Performer of the Night.

Cranley capped off the night for Flint earning Save of the Night honors for the second time in as many games this season.

Brennan Othmann (New York Rangers) and Dmitry Kuzmin (Winnipeg Jets) each added two points last night and Coulson Pitre’s game-winning shorthanded game-winning goal capped off a 5-3 for the Firebirds.
