Spokane Edges Kelowna 4-3 in WHL Preseason

The Spokane Chiefs scored three times in the first period on its way to a 4-3 win over the Kelowna Rockets in WHL preseason play in Spokane Thursday night.
Rockets goalie Jackson Whistle faced 42 shots in the Kelowna nets, while the Rockets comeback attempt fell just short as they got to within a goal but couldn’t find the equalizer.
Tyson Baillie, Austin Ferguson and Tyrell Goulbourne scored for the Rockets who trailed 4-1 early in the second period before scoring two straight goals to make the score 4-3.
The Rockets will close out the WHL preseason on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna as they host the Tri City Americans at 7 p.m.
