Rockets Earn Point In Shootout Loss to Tigers

The Medicine Hat Tigers defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-3 in a shootout in a Western Hockey League game in Medicine Hat Saturday night.
Brett Bulmer scored twice for the Rockets, giving him 28 on the season, while Myles Bell also scored, his 13th. Adam Brown was solid in net, facing 39 shots.
The Rockets led 3-2 after the first period, before Medicine Hat tied the game 3-3 on a goal by Trevor Cox in the second period. Emerson Etem and Dylan Bredo also scored for the Tigers.
Neither team could score in the third period or overtime and in the shootout, both Tigers shooters scored while Zach Franko and Myles Bell failed on their attempts.
The Rockets earned a point for the shootout loss and are 1-1-0-1 on its four game trip to the WHL Central division.
The team closes out the trip Sunday in Calgary at 3 p.m. PST.
