Ryan Olsen, Cody Fowlie and Myles Bell scored two goals apiece for the Rockets, who outshot Red Deer 46-24 in the lopsided win. Tyrell Goulbourne and Rourke Chartier added singles for Kelowna, who led 2-0 after the first period and 5-0 after the second en route to the win.
“It was another good team effort,” said Rockets’ head coach Ryan Huska on the AM1150 post game show. “It’s nice having confidence in four lines and the six young guys we have back on defense. Our challenge now is to fine tune a few things and continue to get better.”
Jackson Whistle earned his third straight win in net and the Rockets improved to 12-6-1-1 on the season. Mathew Dumba scored the lone goal for the Rebels.
Kelowna won all four of its games at Prospera Place on the home-stand which ended Saturday, outscoring its opponents 19-3 during that span. The Rockets will hit the road next weekend for a pair of games in Tri-City.
Attendance in Kelowna was 5,487.
The Rockets next home action is Nov. 23 against Regina.
